Shh.... as quiet as kept
The screams go unheard...
Hand covers the middle noise from the body underneath
Palm over her mouth, making it difficult to breathe.
Voice in her ear warning her
"You better not scream".
In the darkest of night the cries go unanswered
The aroma of smoke consumes her hair.
Thoughts in her mind asking how did she end up there...
Lost and in despair.
Shh...as quiet as kept
Don't make a peep
The only thing hard in this deafening silence
Is get heart beat that skips in increments of 1, 2, and 3.
As he sleeps besides her after being inside her.
The wishing it was all a dream but he's like her Freddy Kruger only he haunts her reality.
Shh... as quiet as kept
crouching in the closet her hands covering her lips trying not to make a whisper as the heavy foot steps draw nearer
Breath held
Tears streaming, but she wipes them away for the fear of them hitting the ground they might make a sound.
Inside she's screaming, yelling at the top of her lungs.
Mouth opens, but nothing comes out chest filled with air ready to release, until she sees the beast and it disappears.
Shh... as quiet as kept
How long must she stay in silence
While the brutal violence is amongst her because she lives with her violator.
The one who is suppose to protect her.
Since a yoing age she known him as her father, but now he is the one who harms her and an adulterer because he cheats on her mother with her.
How long must she suffer?
If she tells who will believe her?
She knows this goes deeper
She's in fear that if she tells will her mother keeper...
Shh.. as quiet as kept...
The silence must be broken
